Slow Motion

In order to film good slow motion, a higher frame rate is required as you are parsing out the footage beyond its normal bounds. So if you are shooting at 30 frames per second normally, you need to shoot at 60 frames per second to slow down the footage by 50%. It is only by having more frames in the original shoot that you can spread those frames out in post. So, when shooting a slow motion scene it is best to film in the highest possible frame rates.
