Script Writing

The first scripts reflected a series of directorial notes, similar to the way in which we make story boards. the first version of the modern script was in the form of the continuity script. this allowed for more films to be made at a time, as a director did not have to be there for every shot and crews could split up and film separately. these scripts were useful because you could accurately predict production costs through them. Continuity scripts were used during the entire studio system era. after studios could no longer block movies together and the rise of television, studios and producers were less focused on quantity and more on quality. within this system the master scene script was given rise, in which there were few technical details in the scripts and it was mainly to tell the story. you should not be giving directorial notes in your screen play in this style. you must follow the fun fun format, i'm not going to note these because the software does the work for you. follow the format because it gives people the impression that you can follow their pretensions format and therefore are more serious.
